The incident took place in one of the villas in Al Ain city, nearly 145 kms from Abu Dhabi yesterday when the Emirati children, aged three to four years, were playing.
The children reached over the wooden cover of the well while chasing the cat when the lid suddenly collapsed and they fell inside, Gulf News reported.
Police and Civil Defence officials reached the spot and recovered the bodies of the three boys.
