including a woman, went missing and 18 others swam to safety in Kare river today after a country boat capsized in Shebaji Nagar police station of Samastipur district, an official said.
The boat was ferrying 21 persons to Debahi village from Shankerpur ghat when it capsized in the middle of the river, Block Development Officer (BDO) Paranmani Vishwanath said.
Search for the missing persons was on by divers, he said adding that the mishap occurred as a result of overloading in the boat.
