According to complaint lodged by UP Air Force security wing officer D Tyagi Sakvadharma, the three were found building huts on the Air Force land yesterday.
When Junior Warrant officer Sanjay Kumar Rathor and other officers reached the spot to evacuate the encroachers on orders of District Magistrate, Praveen, Ranjan and Kumar Kanchan set ablaze the huts and also a tractor they owned, and tried to flee, police said.
The accused were caught and arrested, they said.
