3 Nigerians held for staying illegally

Three Nigerian nationals were today arrested from posh Banjara Hills area here on the charge of staying in India on fake visas, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, sleuths of Commissioner's Task Force (south zone team) apprehended Nigerian nationals Chris Chibuzor Nwabkqo, Eledimmuo Okwudili Augustine and Awoke Onyebuchi Malachy, who have been staying in India on forged visas and violated the norms of Foreigners Act, 1946, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police B Limba Reddy said.
Chris Chibuzor Nwabkqo was having neither a passport, visa nor a residential permit and was previously involved in violation of Foreigners Act, 1946, he said.
The other two came to India on business and tourist visa and on its expiry they stayed in the country illegally and got forged visas from Nigeria, the police official said.
The arrested accused and seized passports were handed over to Banjara Hills police, he added.
