Police have arrested three persons for running a job racket in Jammu.
The accused -- identified as Abid Hussain Khan, Jatinder Kumar and Iftiar Ahmed Peerzada -- were arrested yesterday, a police spokesman said.
They were running a fake recruitment company on the name of "J&K Rural Development Coordination Society approved by the Government of India" on Canal Road in Jammu, he said.
They had issued fake advertisements on local media regarding recruitment in the Rural Development Department, he said, adding that they are issuing forms at the rate of Rs 230 per form after collecting money in draft against Abid Hussain Khan's personal account from unemployed youths.
Khan was posing as KAS officer and posted by the Jammu and Kashmir government as Director of the organisation, the spokesman said, adding that Jatinder Kumar and Iftiar Ahmed Peerzada posed as members appointed by the government to fast-track the recruitment process.
Rs 30 lakh has been found in Khan's account and further investigation is going on to verify that all the money is collected by him is from youths or other source, he said.
There are more than ten employees working in the fake organisation, a hoarding is placed outside the office and rooms are well marked for Director, members, other staff to give an impression of genuineness, he said.
A case has been registered against the accused at the Nowabad police station and further investigation is going on, the spokesman said.
