Three members of a travel company were booked for allegedly defrauding two NGO activists of Rs seven lakh, police said today.
They were identified as Bhagwant Sharma, Ashwani Kumar and Gaurav Goel, staffers of Oho Holidays Zirakpur, the police said.
All the three members were booked yesterday after the police received a complaint against them.
The complainant told the police that he was supposed to participate in a conference of Lions Club in Chicago in America some time back and booked Oho travel company to make the arrangements.
He said that he gave Rs seven lakh in advance to the travel company for making arrangements for the trip, but they failed to do so, the police said.
A case has been registered against all the three men under relevant sections of the India Penal Code (IPC), the police said.
