According to police spokesperson, a group of women were digging mud when a mound of earth caved in, two women Batasho (65) and Vati (50) died on the spot while Sunita (27) and Preeti (13) succumbed to injuries in hospital.
Whereas, 40-year-old Suman broke her leg in the incident and is being treated in the hospital, he said.
The bodies have been sent for the post-mortem and probe is on, he added.
