3-year-old raped in Meerut

A 3-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man in Civil lines area here, police said today.
According to a complaint filed by the victim's father, the minor was playing outside her house when Sonu (24) lured her to a secluded place yesterday.
After few hours the girl was found lying on a nearby street. She was bleeding profusely and rushed to the district hospital, a police spokesperson said.
A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO), he said, adding efforts are on to apprehend him.
