30 arrested for attempting to lay siege of collectorate

As many as 30 activists of Campus Front of India (CFI) were arrested today, when they attempted to lay siege of the district collectorate here seeking the government to provide free and quality education to the poor.
The students, waiving flags, raised slogans attempted to enter into collectorate, where the grievances day was on, police said.
They wanted the Government to take over all the private colleges, which were charging exorbitant fee and commercialising the education, provide free education to the poor and also ensure basic amenities, including toilets, in all educational institutions, they said.
However, police removed the agitators.
