30-year-old sentenced to life term for rape
Kamal Sharma was booked under section 376 (Rape) of IPC and under relevant sections of SC/ST Act in April 2013.
District Judge Ramesh Chand Meena, who is also currently holding the charge of SC/ST Special Court, pronounced the judgement today and sentenced Sharma, a resident of Kaperan town of the district, to life imprisonment.
Sharma was arrested in April last year for raping a married woman of Meena community in the town. He was lodged in the jail since then as he was not granted bail during the trail.
