So far, as many as 4,381 samples have been tested for the epidemic this year out of which 1,385 emerged positive even as the number of deaths because of swine flu and related complications as on date stood 54, a health bulletin issued by the state government here said today.
According to the bulletin, 139 samples were tested yesterday and 33 were found positive for the viral infection.
The number of positive cases reported in the last six days (till yesterday) have shown a decline in intensity.
Citizens have been advised to take precautions like reporting to the hospital on appearance of first symptoms of swine flu like high fever, sneezing, cough and body pains, it added.
