Two trucks, transporting a total of 360 kg of poppy husk, were seized in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said Sunday.
Excise department sleuths, along with the police, intercepted the Punjab-bound trucks at Lakhenpur area on Saturday evening, they added.
While 300 kg of poppy husk was recovered from a truck laden with garlic, another 60 kg was recovered from the other vehicle, the officials said adding that the drivers managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.
A case under NDPS Act was registered and further investigation is on, officials said.
