Sixty four persons were arrested from Thiruvananthapuram range, 33 from Kochi range, 119 from Thrissur and 155 from Kannur range yesterday.
The action was part of 'Operation Suraksha', an ambitious drive launched by the state Home Department against goons and gangsters to check criminal activities.
Meanwhile, seven persons were held for selling banned contraband, including pan masala and liquor in the premises of schools in different parts of the state.
The action against those invlolved in criminal activities would be intensified in the coming days and public could inform police about such criminals through the toll-free number 1090, Kerala Police Chief T P Senkumar said.
