"Over 4.43 lakh pilgrims had paid obeisance at the cave of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine situated in Sanger hills of Ransoo area in Pouni block of Reasi district till 23rd October 2014", Executive officer, SSKSB, Tilak Raj Sharma said.
Sharma, who took stock of the ongoing works of clearing of tracks, restoration of water and power supply and other logistics en route to and in the cave area, said pilgrim arrival was picking up.
He said efforts are being taken on a war-footing to clear all tracks leading to the shrine, besides restoring electricity and water supply to all the establishments and tracks.
With adequate facilities being put in place, the shrine cave is now emerging as the second-largest pilgrimage destination in Jammu and Kashmir after Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine cave.
The destination has many other religious and tourist places along Reasi Shiv Khori road which include Aghar Jitto, Nav Mata, Baba Danser, Dera Baba, Seiar Baba, Biddas Baba, Chenana Devita Salal, Kalka Mata and Mahadev temple Reasi and famous Ziarat at Jandi Morh and Simble Choa where heavy rush of pilgrims is always witnessed throughout the year.
