The bodies were recovered from a desolate area in Baldia town in Karachi.
"All the four bodies have torture marks and bullet wounds but we are still trying to identify them," a senior police official said.
9 MM shells were also discovered near the bodies found early this morning.
The bodies were shifted to a hospital for postmortem.
Karachi is riddled with targeted killings, gang wars, kidnappings for ransom, extortion and terrorism.
Targeted operations led by Rangers forces with the support of police are going on in the city under a directive issued by the federal government.
