Four members of Turkey's military were killed today when two military jets crashed in the Malatya region in the southeast of the country, the interior minister said.
"Unfortunately, four were martyred. We have reached the wreckage of the two planes," Interior Minister Efkan Ala told the Turkish parliament, the official Anatolia news agency reported.
There was no further information on the cause of the incident, nor why the two jets crashed apparently simultaneously.
Each plane was reported to have been carrying a pilot and a co-pilot. There were no survivors.
