4 killed, 27 injured as tractor trolley overturns in Rajasthan

Four persons, including a six- moth-old baby, were today killed and 27 others injured when a tractor trolley, they were travelling in, overturned in Harnavadashahji area of Baran district.
Harnavadashahji police station in charge Maan Singh Chaoudhary said one woman who was in critical condition was referred to Maharao Bheem Singh government hospital at Kota while the other 22 in a hospital at Chabada and 4 persons at a hospital in Baran are undergoing medical treatment.
Chaoudhary said about 31 people of Banjara community, travelling in a tractor trolley, were going to a local weekly market (haat) at Harnavadashahji town this afternoon.

The driver suddenly lost balance while driving the tractor over a high slopping road and the trolley overturned, he said, adding that four persons, including a six-month-old baby and an aged woman were killed in the mishap while 27 others that included 10 women were injured.
Two of the killed are brothers in relation, he said.
Three of the dead bodies were handed over to the family after the post mortem while fourth is kept in mortuary for post mortem tomorrow morning as the family members of the deceased were not present today, the police officer said.
All the injured and deceased in the mishap are residents of Paatadi village of Chabada, he said, adding that a case of negligent driving was lodged against the driver of the tractor.
