Three persons died on the spot while one succumbed to his injuries at Indira Gandhi medical college (IGMC) Hospital here this evening, SP Solan Ramesh Chhajta told PTI.
Twenty persons were admitted to IGMC while eleven persons were admitted to Zonal Hospital at Solan and two seriously injured persons have been referred to PGI Chandigarh, he said.
The cause of accident is not known but witnesses said that the accident reportedly took place when the bus driver lost control while overtaking another vehicle.
Transport Minister G S Bali visited the accident site to supervise relief and rescue operations and also met the injured persons in the hospital.
Governor Urmila Singh and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh expressed grief over the accident and directed the district administration to provide relief to the victims.
