The mishap occurred at Nizampura village in the district last night when a motorcycle dashed against a tempo carrying 40 passengers, who were going to a village in Kheda district, they said.
After the collision, the tempo overturned and the bike got dragged for some distance.
Two passengers of the tempo and a motorcycle rider died on the spot, while another from the tempo succumbed at the SSG hospital here.
Locals from nearby villages helped in extricating people out of the damaged tempo and rushed them to nearby hospitals at Savli and Vadodara.
