Four persons were killed and nine others injured when a passenger vehicle overturned in Khunti district Wednesday evening, officials said.
The victims were returning from a weekly market in Bandgaon in West Singhbhum district when the accident occurred near Kumhardih village under Murhu police station area, Acting SDO Ravindra Gagrai said.
Four persons were killed on the spot while nine others suffered injuries.
While seven of the injured were admitted to a hospital in Khunti, two others were referred to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi, Gagrai said.
