The incident occurred yesterday when one Palwinder Singh along with his family and friend were returning from Attri village, police said.
In the mishap, Palwinder sustained injuries while his wife Sarbjit Kaur (32) daughter Gaganpreet Kaur (6), son Jashanpreet Singh (4) and family friend Nirmal Singh (36) died on the spot, police said.
Some paser by and labourers rescued the bodies, police said adding that injured person was admitted to the hospital.
