4 kin get life term for murdering family head

Two years after a 65-year old man was murdered by four members of his own family, including wife and son, over a property dispute, a court here today sentenced them to life imprisonment.
Salem Additional District Judge Sridhar convicted 60-year old Sinthamani, her son Kumar (45), his wife Mallika (40) and Sinthamani's 27-year old grandson of murder and also imposed a fine of Rs 3,000 each on them.
Thammbuswamy, a farmer of Pachamalai village near Attur in the district, was murdered on October 8, 2014 by his wife Sinthamani, Kumar, daughter-in-law Mallika and grandson following a dispute over a piece of property.
