4 labourers fall unconscious while cleaning well; rescued

Four labourers, who had gone into a well in Kupwara district of Kashmir to clean it today, fell unconscious inside and had to be rescued, police said.
The labourers had gone into the well at Batpore village in Handwara area of north Kashmir district, but none of them came out even after a long time, a police spokesman said.
He said some locals then raised the alarm and a joint team of police and Fire and Emergency Service was called in.
The team rescued the labourers from the well, but they were unconscious, the spokesman said.
All of them have been admitted to a hospital in Handwara, he added.
