sustained burns after a fire broke out from patrol leaked from a motorcycle parked inside the house in Khurram Pur village of Murad Nagar here.
Murad Nagar police station SHO Subodh Saxena said Pawan Kumar, who runs a bicycle repair shop in the village, had parked his motorbike inside the house last night.
Late in the night, patrol spilled on the floor and somehow caught fire. Pawan, his son Rahul (24) and two daughters - Priyanka (18) and Tanu (14) - sleeping nearby sustained burn injuries, police said.
Hearing their cry, neighbours reached the spot, doused the flames and rushed them to a nearby hospital. Later Pawan was referred to Meerut medical college, the SHO said.
