40 companies visit VGSoM in placement session

A total of 40 companies have visited the Vinod Gupta School of Management at IIT Kharagpur campus in this placement season, for the batch of 2015-17.
"Till now 40 companies have visited the VGSoM complex and with more companies lined up, these numbers are only expected to increase," Prof. Prabina Rajib, Dean (Acting), VGSoM said today.
Some of the major participants of this placement season of VGSoM are Amazon, British Telecommunication, Google, Vedanta, PwC, Titan, JP Morgan and Chase, Deloitte, Spencer's, Edelweiss, Crisil, HPCL, Accenture Digital, HSBC, Wipro, IBM,
The VGSoM is the first business school to be established in an Indian Institute of Technology campus.

The highest CTC offered is Rs 20 lakh and the batch strength of 82 has received as many as 100 offers so far.
As of now, the top 25 per cent offers on an average stood at Rs 16.60 lakh salary figures while the top 50 per cent offers stood at Rs 15.31 lakh.

In keeping with the trends of the market, VGSoM students continued to secure most of the roles in the field of Operations and Consulting.
Analytics and Sales Marketing came a close second while the rest of the batch picked up roles in the fields of banking, finance and insurance.

Coveted roles were offered in all management segments including Strategic Analyst, Digital Operations Consultant, Financial Analyst, Associate Trader, Pre-Sales Consultant, Wealth Manager, Program Manager and Category Manager.
The highlight of this year was the roles offered under the Leadership program in Operations, B2B Sales, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Sales and Marketing.
