Police have arrested five people for their alleged involvement in the case of shooting at a TV journalist here earlier this month.
Police arrested Rohit Yadav, Vishal Chaudhary, Yogendra alias Tunda, Bobby and Vikas last night, Senior Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Krishna said today.
Rohit Yadav was arrested by the Siani Gate police after a brief encounter at Ataur Nangla village last night, while his accomplices were arrested from a deserted house in Madhuban Bapu Dham residential area of the city.
Police have recovered four country-made pistols from their possession.
In the encounter, a police officer was also injured.
The journalist was attacked on April 8 at Razapur village and was hit by three bullets.
