A total of Rs 1738.60 lakh will be spent to develop the villages into Smart Model Villages under Border Area Development Programme (BADP), Bikaner Collector Anil Gupta said after a meeting today.
He said proposals under BADP 2017-18 were invited from the villages having 3,000 or more population as per the Census 2011 and within the radius of 20 kms from international border.
Five villages, including three of Khajuwala and two of Kolayat blocks, were selected, he added.
