5 held for builder's murder

Five persons including a builder have been arrested in connection with the killing of a real estate developer of the steel city, who was shot dead by unidentified assailants near Jubilee Park gate here on August 1. A senior police officer said.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Anoop T Mathew said today the arrests were made based on the leads provided by the FIR named accused, Vicky Tapadia alias Vikash Tapadia, who was a business partner of the slain builder Ramsakal Prasad Yadav.
Based on the statement of Yadav's widow, Ranju Devi, police had registered a named FIR under section 302/120B/34 IPC and 27 Arms act against Vicky Tapadia, Sandip Tapadia, Munna Tapadia and others.
Police had arrested Vicky on August 4 while four others - Munmun Singh, Avinash Kumar and Pankaj Kumar Sharma (all residents of Adityapur in Seraikela-Kharswan district) and Nitesh Kumar Tiwari a resident of Bistupur - were picked up today, he said.
Police recovered two firearms and 12 rounds of cartridge from the accused.
The relationship between the business partners Yadav and Vicky, who were engaged in construction in Diagonal Road, Dhatkidih localities in Bistupur and Adityapur, strained over share of Rs. 2.5 crore, which possibly led to the killing of Yadav, the Senior SP said.
Yadav was shot dead by four motorcycle-borne assailants when he along with a friend went on morning walk in Jubilee park in Bistupur on August 1 last.
