Five persons were arrested on the charge of murdering a 40-year-old man in Pitala in Hinjili area of Odisha's Ganjam on October 3, police said today.
Besides arresting the five, police yesterday seized a car, an auto-rickshaw, two motor-cycles and a steel rod used in killing Sanyasi Sahu, said Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Aska), Subash Panda.
Another person allegedly involved in the crime is on the run and efforts are on to nab him, he said.
It was suspected that the murder was a fallout of a clash between the accused and Sahu in 2015.
