The Haryana Government last month imposed a complete ban on the sale of beef in any form and proposed to provide for 10 years rigorous imprisonment for cow slaughter.
Acting on a tip-off, ASI Khemchand along with his team intercepted the suspected vehicle near Badarpur Toll Barrier at Sarai Khwaja in Faridabad.
The accused identified as Anish and his accomplice, Chand, were arrested after police recovered five quintals of beef in their car, police said, adding that the persons are suspected of being involved in beef trade racket.
Investigations in the case are underway, the ASI said.
