5-year-old raped in Faridabad

A five-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man in the district, police said today.
According to the complaint filed by the victim's mother, her daughter had gone out of home at a nearby shop yesterday when the incident happened.
A man living in the neighborhood lured the child to a nearby farmhouse and allegedly raped the girl, the police said, adding that the girl came back home crying.
The mother asked the details and filed the complaint with the police.
A case was registered with Women Police Station Faridabad under section 376 of IPC and section 4 of POCSO yesterday.

The police have started investigations in the case and have arrested the accused, the Investigating Officer ASI Sumitra said.
