Kakarkhdea police station in-charge S K Rana said the accused Chhaggan had attempted rape on the woman (55) on Monday at knife point when she was alone at her home.
When the victim cried and raised an alarm the accused fled the scene threatening to kill her, Rana said.
The victim said the accused has a criminal background and she was afraid of him so she registered the case two days later i.E. Today, he said.
