"In the current year, from January 1 till February 27, 4,673 samples have been tested, out of which 1,469 found to be positive. The number of deaths because of other complications and swine flu as on date are 56," a bulletin on swine flu issued by the state government said here today.
It said 190 samples were tested yesterday and 57 have been found positive for the virus.
"The number of positive cases reported in the last six days (up to February 27) are 56, 9, 27, 33, 27, and 56," the bulletin said.
Citizens are advised to take precautions like reporting to the hospital on appearance of first symptoms of swine flu such as high fever, sneezing, cough and body pains, it said.
Homoeopathy doctors have advised that citizens can also take homeo medicine as a preventive measure under guidance of a homoeopathy doctor, the bulletin added.
