Six people have been arrested on the charge of peddling drugs and 6.5 kg cannabis was seized from them, the police said here today.
During a raid conducted at a number of places in Rajiv Vihar colony under Khoda municipality area last night, the six people were arrested, SP (City) Akash Tomar said.
The accused have been identified as Mohit, Sanjiv, Mukesh, Pramod, Omveer and Yusuf, the officer said, adding during interrogation they have confessed that they were involved in selling cannabis.
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused and further investigation into the case is underway, Tomar said.
