The accident occurred last night near Sonvarsha village, about seven kms from the district headquarters, killing six persons on the spot, Superintendent of Police Abid Khan said.
The victims, all daily-wagers, were returning to their village after working in Sidhi town.
The deceased were identified as Dinesh Kol (25), Jagatdhari Yadav (60), Rajbahor (26), Manish Yadav (12), Satendra Singh (40) and Vinod Rawat (25), he said.
Among the injured, three were referred to Rewa Medical College in serious condition while the others were admitted in the district hospital.
