6-year-old dies in road accident

A 6-year-old boy was today killed after he was allegedly hit by a school bus in sector 49 police area near Hoshiyarpur, police said.
The incident took place when the boy, Sunny, was playing near a market area and a speeding school bus hit him. He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead, they said.
The driver of the school bus had lost control and hit another vehicle too before hitting Sunny, they said.

BJP legislator and Leader of Opposition in the Delhi
Assembly visited the incident spot. He demanded that a judicial probe be ordered into it and Rs 50 lakh be given to the family of the deceased boy.

He also demanded strict action against officials concerned for the "tragedy".
