Additional sessions judge Shivani Jaiswal also sentenced Zubair Alam to another four years in jail besides imposing a fine of Rs 20,000. Both the terms will go on concurrently.
According to the prosecution, the girl's mother had lodged an FIR on August 14, 2014 at the Sector 58 police station saying her 14-year-old daughter was missing and she suspected that her uncle, who was living with them, may have kidnapped her.
A month later, police arrested Zubair with the girl in Chhijarsi area in Noida.
During cross examination, she said Zubair told her that her mother was ill and admitted in a hospital and took her on that pretext to Ludhiana.
The court found Zubair guilty under IPC sections 363 and 366, senior prosecution officer Lalit Mudgal said today.
From the fine amount, Rs 15,000 will be given to the complainant towards legal expenses, he said.
