Hiring managers face unique challenges while recruiting for entry, middle and senior level employees and almost 6 in 10 managers are currently forced to make "hiring compromises", according to a study.
As per Pearson VUE, the global leader in computer-based testing for high-stakes certification and licensure exams, said there are hiring challenges across all levels and 70 per cent of hiring managers want credible certification pathways.
The multi-sector survey of the country's top 100 employers revealed that unique hiring challenges are there at every level - entry/ middle/senior manager.
The key challenges for hiring managers across levels include ascertaining ability of entry level candidates; finding and retaining middle managers; and finding senior managers with the right qualifications.
Moreover, almost 6 in 10 hiring managers are currently forced to make "hiring compromises", it said.
Across all levels, candidate's credibility was a major concern - with 7 in 10 hiring managers believing the majority of candidates make false claims in their resume.
As many as 58 per cent of respondents believe candidates may have cheated on a professional exam. But those figures improve if the candidate had earned their credential through a computer-based test.
"It is imperative for employers that such training and assessment is seen as rigorous, credible and secure - which computer-based testing has proven to better nable," Divyalok Sharma, director of client development at Pearson VUE, said.
