The students of Jai Parkash Mukand Lal Institute of Engineering and Technology (JMIETI) fell ill last night after allegedly consuming adulterated food at their college mess.
The students were admitted to a local hospital and while some of them were discharged after primary treatment, there are a few who are still under observation, college authorities said.
"After having food at the mess last night, most of the students started vomiting and also showed symptoms of diarrhoea," they said.
Parents of the students have complained to the college against the canteen contractor, the college said, adding that the management has suspended the contract.
