Shivraj (60) and his wife Sushma Devi (55) were found dead in their house in Machreta area in Khaleypara village here yesterday, they said.
Their postmortem report revealed that Sushma was murdered with a sharp-edged weapon and no injury marks were seen on Shivraj's body.
Police have recovered an empty bottle of poison from the spot and are suspecting that Shivraj murdered Sushma and then consumed poison.
