In a written reply to a question by Congress legislator Umesh Patel, Health Minister Ajay Chandrakar said, "68patients of dengue were identified from January to October this year in the state."
"Maximum patients were reported from Raipur district followed by Bilaspur (25) whereas one dengue patient was found each in Ambikapur and Raigarh districts," the reply said.
During this period, one dengue death was reported in the state, it added.
The minister further informed that to control the vector-borne disease, door-to-door survey was being conducted in dengue-affected districts as per requirements.
Moreover, awareness also spread among the masses in a bid to control dengue through radio jingles, slogans, rally, banner, poster and pamphlets, it added.
