7 IAS, four IPS officers transferred in UP

In a minor reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government today transferred seven IAS and four IPS officers, an official spokesman said here.
The government removed SSP Allahabad, where violent protests were witnessed by students who were demanding cancellation of both the UPPCS papers and a CBI inquiry into the alleged paper leakage.
SSP Deepak Kumar has been removed and attached to the DGP office. SP Jaunpur Virendra Pratap Srivastava has replaced him.
Rakesh Bahadur, who was on the wait list, has been posted as Investment Commissioner UP at New Delhi.
Principal Secretary backward welfare T Venkatesh has been made member (judicial) in Revenue Board, he said.

Principal Secretary women welfare Renuka Kumar has been given additional charge of the backward welfare.

Principal Secretary technical education and Principal Secretary handloom and textile Monica S Garg have swapped places.
Mohd Shafkat Kamal, who was on the wait list, has been posted as special secretary higher education. Similarly, Dinesh Kumar Singh, who was also on the wait list, has been posted as principal secretary prison.
SP Bijnor Dinesh Kumar P has been posted as SP Jaunpur. SP traffic Lucknow Hari Narain Singh has been posted as SP Bijnor.
