7 kg explosives seized in Doda

Security forces today recovered 7 kg explosives from near a road in Doda and averted a major incident ahead of tomorrow's polls.
A team of Rashtriya Rifles and police recovered the explosives during a joint search in the area between Puldoda and Doda after inputs from locals, a defence spokesman said.
The forces recovered a bag hidden in bushes next to a road from Puldoda to Doda, he said.
The items recovered from the bag included one closed pressure cooker (a likely IED), two live Chinese grenades, approximately 5 kg of Urea (high explosive content) and one pathani suit, the spokesman said.
