The accident occurred when the family was going to Chandpur town of the neighbouring Bijnor district today when their car rammed into an over-loaded trolley from behind, they said.
The deceased have been identified as Prachi (8), Anshul (7), Manish (12), Kallu (65), Kailaso (60), Anuradha (30) and Deepak (24), police said.
Sanjana (14) and driver Mannu (35) were injured in the accident, they said.
Locals blocked the Aligarh-Dehradun road, keeping the dead bodies on the road till the driver of the trolley was arrested and demanded compensation for the victims, police said.
