Military also seized firearms and improvised explosive devices (IED) during raids in North Sinai cities, Ismaila and Daqahlia governorates, between September 14-19, Army spokesperson Brigadier General Mohamed Samir said in a statement.
Nine vehicles, 65 motorcycles that terrorists used in their attacks against police and army personnel have been destroyed, it said.
Samir said that army had destroyed five entrances to smuggling tunnels connecting the peninsula to the Palestinian Gaza Strip.
In another development, a police officer was killed in Sinai after an armoured vehicle overturned while chasing gunmen, a security source said.
The militant attacks targeting police and military increased after the ouster of Islamist ex-president Mohamed Morsi last year.
Many policemen and soldiers have been killed in the attacks.
