Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das Wednesday said 80 per cent of extremism has been eliminated in the state and the police has played an important role.
Das said in the last four years, 80 per cent of insurgency has been eliminated from Jharkhand and the remaining 20 per cent will also be eliminated by the Jharkhand police.
"After the formation of a stable government in the state, there is continuous growth in every sector. Due to the cooperation of the police and the public, the state has been able to move towards getting rid of corruption, extremist, and crime," an official release said quoting Das.
Das said "It is the effort of Jharkhand police that the state is in the category of the fast developing states. In the festivals and adverse conditions, the policemen remain stationed at the duty site for protection of common people and law and order without any leave."
