According to police, the victims were on their way to a temple in Lalganj when the incident took place in Rajghat area.
The truck driver fled with the truck after the incident, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Harish Chandra Maurya (40), Sehdev (57), Shivchandra (35), Ram Harsh Yadav (50), Ramsingh (47), Amarpal (50), Rampyare (50), Bindadeen (50) and Harish Chand (47), police said.
The injured person was undergoing treatment at a Lucknow hospital, they said, adding, a case has been registered and efforts were on to trace the truck.
