A Deputy Superintent of Tihar Jail arrested

A Deputy Superintendent of Tihar Jail, Gyan Singh was today arrested on charges of attempting to murder his daughter-in-law in Vasant Kunj area of south Delhi, police said.
Gyan Singh (45), who is the Deputy Superintendent of Jail number 4, has been booked under section 498 (Enticing or taking away or detaining with criminal intent a married woman) and 307 (Attempt to murder)of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Police said that he was arrested for trying to kill his daughter-in-law , adding that he was interrogated in connection with the case.
"Victim's brother alleged that Singh and his family tried to kill her and she suffered around 65 burn injuries. Police are interrogating victim's in-law and further investigation is on," police added.
