Twentieth Century Fox and 21 Laps are working on the film adaptation of Stephen King's horror story "The Boogeyman".
"A Quiet Place" screenwriters Scott Beck and Bryan Woods will adapt the script for the celluloid, Deadline reported.
First published in 1973, "The Boogeyman" follows a man who loses all his children to a creature lurking in the closet.
After "It", the book becomes the latest from King's fiction list to get a film treatment.
The scribe duo took to Twitter to confirm the news.
"Ever since we were children, our nightmares have been fueled by the "King" of Horror... so we are absolutely thrilled and honored to be adapting @StephenKing's THE BOOGEYMAN for @20thcenturyfox and 21 Laps!" a tweet from their joint Twitter read.
Beck and Woods will also executive produce the film with Madhouse Entertainment's Robyn Meisinger, Adam Kolbrenner and Ryan Cunningham.
JR Young will oversee for the studio.
