Mohammed Riyas, a resident of Pollachi in the district, was wanted in a cheating case in Kerala and police had alerted Air Port and Railway Stations in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Riyaas was detained by the immigrant officials during verification of his passport, as he was going to Sharjah, and immediately alerted local police, in the early hours of today,
Police did not reveal details of the case.
